When you have a soft spot for something or someone, you like it/him/her very much, even though sometimes you know you shouldn’t.

We use this term to talk about why we act in certain ways. For example, if I am telling a friend about how I ate a whole chocolate cake, I might begin by talking about my soft spot or weakness for, chocolate.
